It's true!!!! Sawyer got Student of the Month for his preschool!!! I received a little not from his teacher 2 weeks ago saying that there would be an award ceremony held on Wednesday, January 28th for all of the students in the school selected. I can't tell you how excited I was!!!! His first little certificate!!! Hopefully, the first of many recognitions of how great he is (something I already know).
So, the week came for the award and the boy got sick!! Not just a little sick. Nope. He and Owen got fever and hacking cough sick!!! He missed school Monday through Thursday...including the day of his award.
That was a very depressing morning. I tried not to let it bother me but I kept imagining the pictures I wasn't going to be able to take of his first award!!! Grrrrr. I hate that it bothered me so much! Oh well!!!
So, when he returned to school on Friday, his teacher handed me the award, what they wrote about him and our first bumper sticker (My Child was Student of the Month at Adams Elementary). Despite the lack of hoopla...we are very proud. :)
