Sea World (Visit #2)

This is Owen's adorable interpretation of "Cheeeeese" for the camera on the way to a day at Sea World.


Sea World has a summer attraction called Sesame Street Bay of Play. There are tons of different rides and play areas for all ages. One of the biggest attractions are the characters themselves who do shows, meet & greets and of course, pose for pictures. Sawyer wanted to see them so bad but when it came down to his turn in line (both times) he chickened out. The last time, he agreed to take a picture of Owen and I with Bert and Ernie. He did a pretty good job! Owen kept an eye on Ernie (he loves Sesame Street) and eventually gave him a hi-five!!


Sawyer was in awe of the fish we saw in the fresh water aquarium. I liked the air conditioning.

A Warning to All Parents

While this is definitely an unflattering picture of me (showered but un-brushed), I thought I should post it as a warning to all parents. This is what happens when you are playing with your blog or Facebook account and you give your almost-1 1/2-year-old a pack of stickers to occupy him in your lap. He looks a little shocked by the whole experience as well. :)

Pizza & Beach...perfect combo

On a whim, we grabbed the kids, pizza and a few towels and headed to Coronado for dinner on the beach. The boys were in heaven. Pizza and beaches are two of their favorite things! After succesfully eating without the extra sand topping, we hit the water. Owen got drenched immediately and was not a big fan of the waves. He would get really brave and run after a bird until he saw the water comming and that boy would be in a full sprint to dry land. Sawyer and Eddie just ran and jumped...as Sawyer and Eddie do. It was a beautiful day and another wonderful memory for our little family.
