We are moving!

For those of you who are unaware, this may come as a shock but the Kop family is moving back to San Diego!!! It's true! We leave next weekend! I know, it is crazy! Eddie has been out there for a while leaving me and the kids to pack and stuff. I started really losing my mind yesterday because of exhaustion and the overwhelming feeling I was doing this all on my own. My mom has helped me some but she has been sick so her contribution has been quite limited. Everyone else is just plain old busy and has their own lives to life. Still, I shouted out to my girls Shannon and Carolyn and they came to the rescue today. They arrived at my house around 8am this morning and stayed till 4pm. We got sooooo much done!! I can't even begin to express how gratefull I am for them. They rescued me from the brink of insanity!! :) Anyway, here are a couple of snapshots Shannon took of the kids (Paige, Bailey, Sawyer and Owen running around like a bunch of boxheads. (Shout out to Bethann if you ever read this)

Sawyer the Graduate!

On Friday, 5/23, Sawyer graduated from his first year of preschool. He actually only started attending in February but has learned so much in that time! He now writes his name among other things!!! The graduation was adorable and I lucked out in sitting in the front row! You should have seen this mom double-fisting the cameras (one still and one for video). He was soooo nervous when we first arrived. He eventually came around (especially when he found his friend Brooke). He was very well behaved and I only had to signal him to stop picking his nose 2 times. He took "Boy Doggie" with him for moral support. He loves that dog. Afterwards, Sawyer and Mama went out for some Cotton Candy Ice Cream w/ gummy bears. Our wonderful neighbor Megan watched Owen for me so I could concentrate on capturing the moment on film. Enjoy!

A day at the park..before the clouds opened up!

Today was Sawyer's last day of preschool so we decided to stop at the park for a while. It was beautiful out...about 70 degrees, windy with rain in the distance. We played for a while when Sawyer's buddy, and our neighbor, arrived. Soon the rain began to fall so, being my mother's daughter, I grabbed the boys and we started to dance like crazy people!! We love rain. Well, then it started dumping buckets on us and the wind picked up so I decided it was time to go. I loaded the boys in the car and went back to the playground to collect Soy's shoes. Well, I found only one. I searched and searched. He told me he buried it so I dug at any large mound in the sand to no avail. Mind you, it was pouring!!! It felt like standing in a shower. I checked again with Soy who said it was in the grass. I looked again but couldn't find it so was about to give up when I saw something in the grass on the other side of the playground. No sooner had I started in that direction that hail began to pummel me!!! I ran, grabbed the little shoe and feebly attempted to use it as protection until I made it to the gazebo. I stood there, dripping, watching my two little boys in the car watching me and then joined them once I the hail subsided. It was an adventure. Not to mention I had left EVERY window in the house open. The carpet is still drying out in many places. :)

Xander's baptism

I was honored to be asked to be Xander's Godmother. Xander's mommy, Katrina, is one of my oldest friends. We met when I was 5 years old...that is 27 years ago!! Anyway, I had a wonderful little trip with Owen out to Indio, CA to celebrate this beautiful boy's baptism. Although it was hot, the ride wasn't bad as I rented a Jetta (our car was in the shop) so I felt pretty cool flying around in that thing. My mom watched Sawyer for me. It was perfect. God bless you, Xander!

Mother's Day!

We joined Sarah, Coleman, Lukas & Papi at the park for our Mother's Day outing. Unfortunately my mom was very sick so could only be there in spirit. The boys had a blast playing and eating the yummy fod we brought. It was a beautiful and hot day.
